THE SAME PLAN

Policies, policies, policies. There is no point having a political party if you do not have a plan.

What is striking is that when you go deep into how this country actually works, there are a lot of cogs and a lot of problems. It is an enormous can of worms. And in truth, when you look at the major parties, none of them has a plan to move us in a better direction. It is bandaids over the problems. It is vote-collecting policy rather than policy designed to fix anything.

I have been working through housing and how we fix it. Billions are being thrown at it, and the problem has several fronts at once. But notice the plan: more houses, more apartments, more suburbs, more sprawl. Every party repeats it, attacks one part of it, and blames the others for incompetence.

We need to think outside that box — which is what the next few days are about.
